Good Afternoon to everyone!

This week was amazing as always!

Sickness: Fought the flu and a sinus infection all week but all as a part of the trials you face as a missionary. But luckily Brazil is a pretty good place to be when youre not feeling to good (Great weather and the sun always helps)

Temple: Saturday our Zone and our ward had the opportunity to attend the temple. It was defitiely the highligh of the week for us here and the source of all of our pictures this week. I loved going through and feeling the spirit and everything about the temple as well. The sessions were packed and that always an amazing sign and brought me so much joy to see the people of Brazil doing their work for their ancestry. Plus one of my favorite members here Irmão Nano was working and brought a great surprise to me there too!

Investigators: This week we had luck finding a couple of new people, Including one less active member and his wife who isnt a member, we are having luck teaching them and strengthening their testimonies too through the lessons and even helping them come back to church is amazing. I love my work and service as a missionary.

Spiritual Thought: This week i focus on the christlike attribute of Patience. Patience is one of my favorite attributes and one that i have learned a lot about on the mission. I open with the words of Amulek the prophet on patience: 40 And now my beloved brethren, I would exhort you to have patience, and that ye bear with all manner ofafflictions; that ye do not revile against those who do cast you out because of your exceeding poverty, lest ye become sinners like unto them;
41 But that ye have patience, and bear with thoseafflictions, with a firm hope that ye shall one day rest from all your afflictions. Patience is the ablilty to see through your trials and temptations with the standards of the Lord. we are blessed when we are patient with others including our leaders, family, friends, and enimies. Patience is an attribute required to learn to inherit the kingdom of heaven.
Until next week I hope all is well all around the world!! Sorry no Portuguese or Spanish this week due to time.
Disculpe não Português este semana por que tempo.
I Love you all! The church is true! Until next week,
-Elder Matthew Arscott
